Description
Impact of human reliability recently becomes relatively important for the safety of NPP, as machine reliability of nuclear power plant (NPP) has been increased. Further improvement of human reliability is indispensable to maintain better safety of NPP. It is expected to collect further knowledge of human performance, especially in case of emergency, for the improvement of human reliability. In this study, various operator performance in coping with accident scenarios has been observed, collected and analyzed. The operator performance data were obtained by the experiment using an experimental simulator which simulates a pressurized water reactor (PWR) power plant. Some design based events, such as loss of coolant accident (LOCA), steam generator tube rupture (SGTR) and main steam line break (MSLB), were chosen as initiating events. Combining various equipment failures, referred to as 'subsidiary events', some experimental scenarios were implemented and served for the experiments (author) (ml)
