Simultaneous determination of Hg and Cd by radiochemical solvent extraction using thionalide (Preprint No. RA-28)
Description
A simple radiochemical solvent extraction method for the separation and determination of Hg and Cd using 'thionalide' has been developed. Hg was extracted in thionalide-methyl ethyl ketone at pH 8.5 and later Cd was extracted in thionalide-chloroform at pH 9.5. The method is valid for the concentrations ≥ 0.5 μg of both the metals and is free from major interferences. (author)
