Dependence of LiTaO3 refractive indices on the crystal composition

Description
Empirical relations binding refractive indices and two-refraction of lithium tantalate of variable composition with the Curie temperature are determined. Calculation of refractive indices dependences on the crystal composition on the basis of which the explanation of experiment results is given, is carried out. The methods of nondestructive testing of the lithium tantalate monocrystal composition according to the value of two-refraction are suggested
