Description
ICRP Publication 26 recommends the use of a new concept called the effective dose equivalent. This is calculated for adult male and female for neutrons incident normally on the body and for neutron energies between thermal and 14 MeV and related to the maximum permissible flux density (MPFD). It is concluded that this new concept will allow in increase in the MPFD of neutrons by a factor of 1.75-1.2. (U.K.)
