Description
The reductive hydrolysis of molecular deuterium D2 + 2H+ + 2e- → 2HD proceeding (Rh) in the presence of a complex of rhodium with diphenyl-micro-sylfophenylphosphine is reported. Divalent vanadium sulfate was used as the reducing agent. A possible mechanism is discussed
