Superconducting copper-base alloy containing filaments of V3Ga

Description

The preparation and the properties of copper-rich superconductors containing filaments of V3Ga are described. The superconducting transition temperature is about 130K. The critical current density at zero field and 4.20K is as high as 2.9 x 104 A/cm2 and decrease to 2 x 103 A/cm2 at 60 kG. (U.S.)
