g/sub 9/2/ single particle state in 28Si
- 1. Institute for Nuclear Study, University of Tokyo, Tanashi, Tokyo, 188 Japan
Description
A direct evidence of 2h-high single particle component has been obtained for the first time in sd-shell nuclei from measurement of α0 and p0 decay from the 12.80 MeV state in 28Si populated through the 12C(20Ne,α)28Si reaction. This state is assigned J/sup π/ = 6+ and has a g/sub 9/2/ single particle component of 20--30 % in a nearly stretched proton configuration of (g/sub 9/2/d/sub 5/2/-1)
