Description
The pulmonary thromboembolism (PTE) is frequent cause of sudden death which is generally verified only post-mortem by autopsy. On the present the PTE is the worst diagnosed cardio-vascular disease. If no objective medical imaging is applied the correct diagnosis is determined by less then 50 percent patients. As a confirmation of this statement authors present two following case reports ended in death when the PTE was not diagnosed properly. (author)
