Yields of low-energy nuclides in reactions of relativistic protons and deuterons with the nuclei 58/sup ,/64Ni

Description

Experimental data on the yields of low-energy 1/sup ,/2/sup ,/3H and 3/sup ,/4He obtained in interaction of protons and deuterons with respective energies 7.5 and 6.7 GeV with 58/sup ,/64Ni are compared with calculations according to the cascade-evaporative model. It is shown that the experimentally observed characteristics of the secondary particles are described by the model, and that the model correctly predicts the isotropic effects arising as a consequence of the formation in the cascade of evaporating nuclei for which Z and N depend on the nucleonic composition of the target nucleus
