Calibration of NE 213 neutron spectroscopy detector

Description
The method is described of measuring fast neutrons by an organic scintillation detector using recoil protons. Part of the energy of recoil protons is used for exciting molecules which on return to the minimal energy level emit photons which are recorded as electric pulses. The amplitude of the pulses is not proportional to the energy lost by the recoil protons in the detector and a calibration of the detector is therefore made and the calibration curve constructed.
