Magnetic properties of Pr2Fe14-x-yCoxCryB compounds

  • 1. Polska Akademia Nauk, Poznan. Inst. Fizyki Molekularnej

Description

Magnetic measurements of Pr2Fe14-x-yCoxCryB compounds (1 ≤ x ≤ 3; 0 ≤ y ≤ 1) were performed in a temperature range 77 to 800 K in fields up to 26 kOe. The values of the saturation moment, anisotropy field, and Curie temperature as functions of composition are listed. Results give evidence that simultaneous substitution of iron by cobalt and chromium in Pr2Fe14B-based compounds leads to alloys having high Curie temperatures and anisotropy fields. The saturation magnetizations are lower than those of the parent compounds mainly due to the presence of chromium
