Description
The results of the development and investigation of Cr-Ni-Mn unstable austenite steels are reported. Considered are the phase transformations, the mechanical properties, the cavitation and corrosion resistance of said steels. It was shown that the high cavitation and corrosion resistances of the steels go along with adequate strength and plastic properties and a satisfactory mechinability, this making said steels a suitable cavitation-resistant material
