Description

The second annual conference of the USSR Nuclear Society was held in Moscow on 25-28 June 1991. Like the first conference held the previous year, this forum of leading experts in the fields of nuclear power, ecology and social science, together with representatives from pressure groups and the media, took up a major issue influencing the future development of nuclear power. This year the topic was the problem of radioactive waste and what to do with it. The main outcomes of the conference are reported. (author)
