Thermal condition of yttrium-terbium-aluminium garnets

Description
Temperature and concentration dependences of thermal conduction, kappa, of monocrystalline samples of Ysub(3-x)Ybsub(x)Alsub(5)Osub(12) solid solutions, where x=0.09, 1.5, 2.4, 3, in the temperature range from 5 to 1000 K are investigated. Comparison of experimental dependences, kappa(T), with theoretical ones, calculated according to the Callaway model in the approximation of relaxation time by the least square fit, is carried out to detect peculiarities of photon scattering in solid solutions
