RF instability due to passband of TM010 mode in STF

Description

In the superconducting rf test facility (STF) at KEK, high power tests of the nine-cell superconducting cavity for the international linear collider (ILC) have been performed. The RF instability due to passband of TM010 mode was measured by changing the feedback loop-delay. Even under the conditions of no beam and low feedback-gain, the large instabilities due to 8/9π-mode and 7/9π-mode were appeared periodically depending on each difference of frequency from π-mode.
