Description
This paper deals with the Italian experience on low level waste (L.L.W.) management. This activity has been carried out according to the Technical Guide No. 26 issued by ENEA DISP, that defines some general criteria for an appropriate waste management policy. The main activities related to L.L.W. arising form nuclear power plants and research centre are presented. Finally, an overview on the recent sources and amounts of radioactive waste is shown. (au)
