On reaction of lithium derivatives of o- and m-carboranes with alkoxychlorsilanes

Description
Conditions of silylation of lithium derivatives o- and m-carboranes by alcoxychlorsilan, providing high output of alcoxysilylcarboron, were found. Suppositions on the mechanism of the reaction of alcoxysilylcarborons oligomerization, catalysed by basic agents were made. Alkoxysilylcarborons structures were confirmed by the infra-red spectroscopy
