A QCD explanation for asymmetries in polarized pp high-p vertical to elastic scattering

Description
In the framework of the hard-scattering model with a QCD constituent interaction, a final-quark recombination mechanism is considered to describe high-p vertical to polarized pp elastic scattering. Predictions for the asymmetries are obtained and the measured large value of Asub(nn) at high p vertical to is explained. Tests and comparisons with other models are discussed. (author)
