Radiation-chemical behaviour of palladium in mixed perchloric and nitric acid solutions
Description
Gamma-radiolysis of mixed perchloric and nitric acid solutions of palladium in the range of Pd2+ concentrations -(0.2-4.0)x10-3, HClO4-1, NO3--0.05-2 mol/l, D=2.3-3.5 Gy/s and D=(0.5-2)x106Gy - was investigated. It is ascertained that radiation-chemical transformations of palladium in the system have vibrational character: the process of Pd2+ reduction to Pd0 is accompanied by the process of Pd0 oxidation to Pd2+. The mechanism of radiation-chemical behaviour of palladium in the given system is suggested
