Analysis of diatomite-clayey suspensions flow in a laboratory flume

Description
Study of sedimentation process demands noninvasive measurement of the solid phase concentration and velocity. This requirement is fulfilled by radioisotope measurements based on absorption of γ-radiation. Velocity of flow was derived from Cross Correlation analysis of recorded signals, checked by radiotracer tests. Consequently concentration measurements were calibrated by weighing collected samples.
