Dynamics of hydrogen bonds in hydrogen-containing compounds of the Period II elements
Description
On the basis of previously published and estimated data for hydrogen-containing compounds of the second period elements (LiH, BeH2, BH3, CH4, NH3, H2O and HF) the character of hydrogen bonds during formation of dimers (polymers) of the compounds was analyzed. The extreme type of changes in hydrogen bond energy in the series was established, its minimum falling on CH4. The estimated values of hydrogen bond energies (E, kJ) and entropy (ΔS0, J/K) of hydrogen bond formation in the series of hydrides LiH-BeH2-BH3 are equal to -115 and -76(Li), -90 and -74(Be), -58 and -72(B), respectively
Abstract (Russian)
На основе опубликованных и оценочных термодинамических данных для водород-содержащих соединений элементов второго периода (LiH, BeH2, BH3, CH4, NH3, H2O и HF) проанализирован характер водородных связей при образовании димеров (полимеров) этих соединений. Установлен экстремальный тип изменения энергии водородных связей в этом ряду с минимумом, приходящимся на CH4. Оценочные значения энергии водородных связей (E, кДж) и энтропии (ΔS0, Дж/K) образования водородных связей в ряду гидридов LiH-BeH2-BH3 равны: -115 и -76(Li), -90 и -74(Be), -58 и -72(B)Additional details
