Performance of microtron at Indus facility

Description
A classical microtron is used as the injector to the booster synchrotron, which supplies electrons of 450-700 MeV for injection into Indus-1 and Indus-2. This microtron in RRCAT was commissioned towards the end of 1994. Since then it is regularly delivering a 20 MeV beam of pulse current 10-30 mA for Indus SR facilities. The operational performance of this microtron, the problems experienced during past years and their mitigation are presented in this paper. (author)
