On the line width of impurity optical transitions in absorption and photothermoionization spectra

Description
Comparison of line widths of impurity optical absorption (OA) with line widths in photothermal ionization (PTI) spectra of impurities in germanium and silicon is conducted. It turned out, that line widths in PTI spectra are wider, than in OA spectra. This difference is linked with different radiation absorption length at measurement of OA and PTI spectra
