High-energy solar protons

Description

Problems of solar particle acceleration in large-scale solar flares are discussed. Direct measurements of the first income of high-energy protons from large-scale solar flares made with the use of the ''Prognoz'' satellites detected a delay of energy protons outcome from solar corona as compared with the flare explosive phase. The effect of delay of energy solar particle injection into interplanetary space can be explained by the fact that proton acceleration up to the energies E > 100 MeV takes place not during explosion phase, but later, and it can serve as a testimony in favour of solar cosmic ray acceleration in large-scale flares in two stages
