Effect of neutron irradiation on structure of magnesium metasilicate in oxide ceramics

Description
The oxide ceramics SK-1 type was investigated after neutron irradiation with fluence of 3.7x1021 cm-2 and isothermal annealing at 300, 700 and 1000 deg C by means of IR absorption spectroscopy. It was found that changes of the spectrum were caused by radiation-induced modification of the magnesium metasilicate structure
