Investigation of phase composition and crystal structure in the series of solid solutions of LaCo1-xMnxO3±δ

Description
The possibility of obtaining solid solutions of the LaCo1-xMnxO3±δ within the interval of compositions 0.0 ≤ x ≤ 0.6 with 0.05 pitch and within the interval of 0.7 ≤ x ≤ 1.0 with 0.1 pitch at 1100 Deg C in the air is studied. Existence areas of two series of solid solutions: x ≤ 0.2 - with rhombohedral structure (sp. gr. R3-bar c) and x ≥ 0.5 with orthorhombic structure (sp. gr. Pnma) are established in the studied system. Inter-ion distances are evaluated and estimate of oxygen content in dependence on manganese concentration is carried out. The phase transfer is discussed from the viewpoint of manganese ions availability at different oxidation levels: Mn4+ and Mn3+
Abstract (Russian)
Изучена возможность получения твердых растворов типа LaCo1-xMnxO3±δ в интервале составов 0.0 ≤ x ≤ 0.6 с шагом 0.05; а в в интервале 0.7 ≤ x ≤ 1.0 - с шагом 0.1 при 1100 град C на воздухе. В изученной системе установлены области существования двух рядов твердых растворов: x ≤ 0.2 - с ромбоэдрической структурой (пространственная группа R3-bar c) и х ≥ 0.5 с орторомбической структурой (пространственная группа Pnma). Оценены межионные расстояния и произведен оценочный расчет содержания кислорода в зависимости от концентрации марганца.
