Reaction cross-sections of relevance to hydrogen plasmas in ion sources
Description
This report presents experimental data for reactions occurring between atomic hydrogen, molecular hydrogen, H2+ ions, and H3+ ions and electrons. The information is intended to be of use in the evaluation of operating conditions in ion sources, and so the data has been limited to the energy range of 0 to 150 eV. Data are not given for charge-exchange processes, or for heavy particle interactions, except in the case of H3+ molecular ion formation. Some data are also given for the kinetic energy distributions of the 'fast' products arising from dissociative ionisation and dissociative excitation of molecular hydrogen. (author)
