Testing string dynamics in lepton nucleus reactions

  • 1. Lawrence Berkeley Lab., CA (United States). Nuclear Science Div.

Description

The sensitivity of nuclear attenuation in 10-100 GeV lepton nucleus (lA) reactions to space-time aspects of hadronization is investigated within the context of the Lund string model. This paper considers two mechanisms for attenuation in a nucleus: final state cascading and string flip excitations. Implications for the evolution of the energy density in nuclear collisions are discussed
