Critical-mass limits for collapsed stars in a generalized theory of gravitation

Description

A critical mass limit Msub(c)/Msub(cercle) = 12.25 αsub(s) for a collapsed star is derived from a generalized theory of gravitation, where αsub(s) = f2/4π(h/2π)c is the low energy hadronic coupling constant. An approximate minimum radius rsub(t) = 15.66 (M/Msub(cercle))sup(1/3)αsub(s)sup(2/3)km is also predicted by the theory. For the range of values αsub(s) = 0.2 - 2 the predicted mass and size of a pulsar are compatible with observation. (author)
