Description
To reduce the weight and size of a current generator, its magnetizing winding is designed so that its turns serve simultaneously as capacitor plates. A technique for designing the generator elements with a combined ''winding-capacitance'' is considered. The operability of the generator has been tested on a mockup constructed from sections of a pulse 40 μF. 800 V capacitor at a frequency of 400 Hz and a maximum current of 80 A. The testing results are in good agreement with calculation data
