Hydrolytic decomposition study of rare earth benzoyl acetonates by gas-liquid chromatography method

  • 1. Moskovskij Gosudarstvennyj Univ. (USSR)

Description

Using the method of gas-liquid chromatography investigated are volatile decomposition products of rare earth benzoyl acetonate hydrates as well as their adducts with some nitrogen- and physphorus-containing additional ligands. It is shown that in the course of hydrolysis irreversible decomposition of a part of benzoyl acetonate residues into acetophenone and acetic acid takes place. Adducts of benzoyl acetonates also contain hydrate water. Therefore, at their heating hydrolysis proceeds, which is similar to crystallohydrate hydrolysis
