Description
Invoking simple considerations based on properties of the unitary transformations, we show that the proper use of the Kramers-Henneberger space-translation method in atomic-collision problems gives essentially the same results as the conventional treatments and removes the ambiguities reported in the literature. Laser-assisted electron--hydrogen-atom collisions are considered as an example
