Synthesis and characterisation of new dioxouranium(VI) complexes of acid hydrazides

Description
Dioxouranium(VI) complexes of some aliphatic (mono, di) aromatic and heterocyclic hydrazides have been prepared in presence or absence of NaOAc and characterised. The ligands coordinate in a mono-, bi-, tri- and/or tetradentate fashion in the enol except that derived from adipic acid dihydrazide which is bonded through keto form. The existence of a dihydroxo-bridges for the complexes isolated in the presence of NaOAc or basic medium (N2H4) is confirmed. Also, the relation between the colour and stability of complexes with the mode of chelation as well as the side-chain attached to the donor sites is discussed. (author). 14 refs., 1 tab., 1 fig
