A computer based site emergency control centre (SECC) for emergency preparedness at Trombay
Creators

Description
A Computerised Site Emergency Control Centre (SECC) capable of receiving continuous on-line and off-line input data on radiological status of the plant and the surrounding environment from a number of subsystems operating in a distributed processing environment, has been established at Trombay for an effective emergency preparedness. The central computer at SECC is equipped with various model based processing packages to project graphically in the computer monitor the progressive behavior of radioactive plume from measured inputs on site meteorology and environmental dose rates in public domain to assess the impact and plan effective counter measures, if needed, to mitigate the consequences.
