MSCT manifestations of pulmonary mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue lymphoma

Objective: To investigate the CT manifestations of pulmonary mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue (MALT) lymphoma and to improve the knowledge and diagnosis of this disease. Methods: CT findings of 5 cases of pulmonary mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue lymphoma proved by biopsy were retrospectively analyzed. Results: The manifestations of 5 cases were as followed; multiple bilateral lung lesions in 3 patients, multiple unilateral lung lesions in 1 patient and solitary lesion in 1 patient. Among them, pulmonary masklike or nodular lesions was showed in 3 cases, focal consolidation lesions in 2 cases and air-bronchus sign in 4 cases. There was slightly homogeneous enhancement after contrast injection in 2 cases. Conclusion: The CT manifestations of primary pulmonary MALT lymphoma may be various and nonspecific. Pulmonary mass and consolidation are common. A few features such as air-bronchus sign with ground-glass opacity maybe characteristic. (authors)
