Description

The authors present an auto-mapping system for data classifying map with airborne gamma-ray spectrometric data. The system consists of a statistical classifying system for airborne gamma-ray spectrometric data and a special mapping system of the classification results. First, the centre of a lithological body was located with known geological information and the map which is defined as degree of uniformity; the initial cluster centre was obtained from the systematic cluster analysis, then, the airborne gamma-ray spectrometric data were classified with the dynamic cluster analysis; finally, the map of the cluster was made up with the special software mapping. With the help of the system, the high sensitive airborne gamma-ray spectrometric data were interpreted in the central part of CDM in Qinhai Province and a data classifying map of airborne gamma-ray spectrometry (1:200000 scale) was mapped out. Examples of the field application show that this system can be effectively used to process a large quantity of data set and it is characterized by simplicity, rapidness and automation
