Duality and dispersion relations in K+p elastic scattering

Description

The assumption is made that two component duality is a good framework to describe low energy positive kaon-proton elastic scattering. It was shown in a previous paper that in this case the imaginary part of the A' non-flip amplitude in the positive kaon-proton region could be well described, down to approximately 1.4 GeV and away from the forward direction, by the t-channel exchange of just the Pomeranchuk. One therefore extends the assumption to the negative kaon-proton elastic scattering region of the amplitude in an attempt to utilize a fixed t dispersion relation in predicting the common exchange degenerate Regge residue function
