Safety analyses of WWER-type reactors

Description
A brief introduction to the designs of the three WWER reactor types is followed by a discussion of the relevant safety design aspects and the related improvement measures, and by details concerning the operational reliability of the WWER-1000 reactor. Practical aspects of the inspection of Kozloduy-1 to Kozloduy-4 (Bulgaria) are discussed. (orig./HP)

Der Beitrag behandelt - nach einer knappen Vorstellung der Auslegungsmerkmale der drei WWER-Baulinien - zunaechst Fragen der sicherheitstechnischen Auslegung und die wichtigsten hierzu vorgeschlagenen Ertuechtigungsmassnahmen. Sodann wird ausfuehrlich auf einige Aspekte der Betriebssicherheit der WWER-1000 eingegangen. Ueber ein Beispiel aus der Praxis - die Arbeiten zur Sicherheitsueberpruefung des KKW Kozloduy (Bloecke 1 bis 4) in Bulgarien wird berichtet. (orig./HP)Additional details
