Management of the radioactive waste treatment facility

Description

The radioactive wastes generated in Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute (KAERI) in 1993 are about 107 m3 of liquid waste and 169 drums of solid waste. Liquid waste is treated by the evaporation process, the bituminization process, and the solar evaporation process. The solid waste is treated by the compaction process and the cementation process. The radioactive wastes treated in 1993 are about 194 m3 of liquid waste and 31 drums of solid waste, respectively. 28 tabs., 12 figs. (Author) .new
