A prompt-muon beam utilizing novel superconducting elements
Description
A muon beam designed to focus energetic prompt muons from a beam dump target is sketched utilizing superconducting magnets with conducting current sheets in the muon beam. An objective is to design a beam with a 10% momentum bite 1600 m in length and an acceptance sufficient to collect most prompt muons. The magnets are designed based on principles discussed in the 1982 Snowmass Proceedings
