Description
Effect of thermal neutron irradiation on the photoacoustic spectra of PrCl3 and HoCl3 in powder form has been studied. The photoacoustic signal is found to decrease if the spectra are recorded immediately after neutron irradiation, but the effect is found to be temporary and the signal strength recovers if the sample is stored at room temperature. Spectra recorded after regular intervals of time show an exponential recovery. (author). 9 refs., 6 figs., 4 tabs
