Metal quality improvement and increasing the efficiency of electroslag smelting
Description
Improvements of the quality of electroslag steel in large ingots and improvements of the technical and economic results of electroslag remelting are discussed. Adoption of differentiated melting routines, wet starts, and the topping-up method have helped to reduce the cropping of ESR ingots and to increase the yield of usable metal
