Description
By means of a post-acceleration pulse compression system, electron pulses of about 600 picosecond (FWHM) and more than 100 A peak current are now available at the Geel Electron Linear Accelerator (GELINA). The pulse compression method is reviewed and results of neutron measurements demonstrating the exceptional resolution power of the neutron time of flight spectrometer are given. (author)
