The Contribution of Eurados and Cendos to Track Etch Neutron Dosimetry: The Current Status in Europe

The development of neutron personal dosimetry using etched track systems has been significantly assisted by two European organisations, CENDOS and EURADOS. Details of the relevant working groups sponsored by these bodies are given. Also described are the joint discussions and irradiations, a workshop and many publications stemming from the activities of the groups. The present status of research and of operational systems in Europe in the etched track neutron dosimetry field is summarised. The characteristics of typical systems are described and suggested areas of research discussed. (author)
