Description
A survey is given of the results of Soviet investigations on heat transfer during pool boiling of cryogenic liquids. Aspects studied include vapour bubble dynamics, heat transfer coefficients for nucleate boiling and the first critical heat flux density. The formulas proposed in the survey allow calculations of these characteristics to be made with an accuracy acceptable in practical engineering. (author)
