States in 118Sn from 117Sn(d,p) 118Sn at 12 MeV

Description

118Sn energy levels up to = 5.2 MeV excitation energy are studied in the reaction 117Sn (d,p) 118Sn. Deuterons had a bombarding energy of 12 MeV. The protons were analized by a magnetic spectrograph. The detector was nuclear emulsion and the resolution in energy about 10 KeV. The distorted-wave analysis was used to determine l values and spectroscopic strengths. Centers of gravity and the sums of reduced spectroscopic factors are presented for the levels when it was possible to determine the S' value. 66 levels of excitation energy were found which did not appear in previous 117Sn (d,p) reactions. 40 levels were not found previously in any reaction giving 118Sn. The results are compared with the known ones. (Author)

Estudam-se os niveis de energia do 118Sn ate a energia de excitacao de 5.2 MeV na reacao 117Sn(d,p)118Sn com deuterons de 12 MeV. Analizam-se os protons por um espectrografo magnetico. O detetor e a emulsao nuclear e a resolucao em energia de 10 KeV. Usa-se a analise de onda distorcida para determinar valores de l e intensidade espectroscopicas. Apresentam-se centros de gravidades e as somas dos fatores espectroscopicos reduzidos para os niveis quando e possivel determinar o valor de S. Encontram-se 66 niveis de energia de excitacao que nao aparecem nas reacoes 117Sn (d,p) anteriores. 40 niveis nao foram encontrados anteriormente em qualquer reacao dando 118Sn. Comparam-se os resultados com os ja conhecidos. (L.C.)
