Leak tests of the high-pressure air-tight vessels of the Paks Nuclear Power Plant
Description
The structure of the hermetically sealed volume designed for a maximum overpressure of 2.5 bar at the Paks Nuclear Power Plant was compared with that of the containment systems of other reactors. According to the leak tests accomplished prior to installation of the reactor comprising the local analysis of certain components and rooms and the complete testing of the total hermetically sealed volume, great number of leakage problems were solved. The integral leak test carried out by the authority and repeated tests are dealt with. Leak rates and their deviations were determined by the computerized data acquisition and evaluation system developed at the plant. (V.N.)
