Distribution of count numbers in positron lifetime spectra
- 1. Uniwersytet Marii Curie-Sklodowskiej, Lublin (Poland). Inst. Fizyki
Description
Deviations from a Poisson-like distribution of count numbers in the channels of lifetime spectra have been reported recently. In this paper, two sources of this anomaly are discussed: fluctuation of the spectrum position on the scale of delays, and nonlinearity of time scale, particularly odd-even difference of channel widths in multichannel analysers.
