The reprocessing of fast reactor fuels. The TOR project

Description

The TOR facility (Traitement des Oxydes Rapides, Fast Oxide Reprocessing) with an annual capacity of 5 tons of heavy metals of fuels from fast breeder reactors, which is due to be commissioned at the end of 1983, will be a result of the renovation, modification and enlargement of the present Pilot Facility at Marcoule. The project is part of the logical progress of the French programme for the development of fast breeder reactors and its fuel cycle
