Description
A special experimental equipment was designed and constructed at the research reactor IVV-2M for a complex investigation of radiation effects on the interaction of hydrogen isotopes (or hydrogen-bearing media and helium) with various ITER candidate materials. The equipment allows the study of permeability, diffusion and solubility as well as adsorption and desorption of gases in metals at temperatures of 370-1300 K and above and media pressures up to 20 MPa before, during and after reactor irradiation of the fast neutron flux density 2 x 1018 n/m2 s (E>0.1 MeV). The equipment provides the possibility of creating a plasma gas discharge with a density of 1022 ion/m2 s and E<1 keV simultaneous with reactor irradiation. (orig.)
